The 15th Annual Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest Weigh-Off will take place Saturday, October 6, 2011.  Registration will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., all entrants must be in line for registration by 10 a.m. for their fruit to qualify for competition.

The Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Fest would like the Giant Fruit and Vegetables to stay on display through Sunday.  If there is an issue with entries staying on site, the grower is to contact the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Fest Event Coordinator, at 715-323-4533 to make alternate arrangements.

We look forward to seeing all of the GIANT fruit and vegetables, and hopefully we will see a NEW state record set!

WGPG memberships can weigh one item for free. Additional entries will be $5 each. A maximum of two entries and two prize monies per category per household are allowed.

 Non-members and members after June 1 will pay $30 for the first entry and $10 for each entry thereafter. Maximum 1 entry per category.

 Exhibitors must be on site and in line to register entries by 10 a.m. on October 6, 2012.

 Each specimen must be grown and cared for by the exhibitor.

 The exhibitor must be present for the competition, unless prior arrangements are made with a site coordinator (Jeff Hunt 715-335-6830 or Dave Mehlbrech @ nekoosagiantpumpkinfest@yahoo.com).

 All pumpkins and squash must be on a pallet.

 Any entry weighed in a previous competition will not be eligible for prize money.

 This weigh-off is a Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) sanctioned event and all GPC rules will be followed.

 The Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest would like entries to stay on exhibit through Sunday if at all possible.

The undersigned hereby releases Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest, its sponsors and volunteers; Wisconsin Giant Pumpkin Growers, its members and agents; and the City of Nekoosa from liability for any and all rights or claims for damages, illness, injuries or losses which may occur as a result of participation in activities connected with the Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest. I grant permission for the use of my name, any photographs, videos, or other record of my participation in events at the Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest.
