The Giant Pumpkin Drop is the main event for the Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest. Young and old alike come to witness a gigantic pumpkin ascend to the top of a 100-foot crane. As the countdown begins, anticipation builds for the release of this behemoth fruit.
 

As our volunteers pull on the rope to release the pumpkin, the crowd cheers in anticipation of things to come. As soon as the pumpkin comes crashing to earth, the ground shakes and hoards of kids rush to the pumpkin in hopes of gathering precious seeds.
